Company Background

DesignCut, Inc. was established in 2002 by David Olson and Lynn McClune after meeting in a metalworking class at South Puget Sound Community College.  Early work was produced in David’s garage before finding our current warehouse space in east Olympia.  Our work travels all over the world as visitors take our pieces home with them as a reminder of their time in Olympia.

David Olson passed away in 2007 and Lynn McClune took on all responsibilities of the company—design, production, sales, marketing, and administrative details.  In early 2010, Jane Wood purchased DesignCut.

Our future direction is to bring more distinct metal art to the market community and other local markets in the Puget Sound area.  We are beginning to take on more custom and commissioned work beginning in 2011.

We look forward to participating in several of the large local home and garden shows, expanding our web-based business and bringing our work into area home and garden stores.
